And the winner is...
Congratulations to Richard Owen from Ormskirk, who answered last month's questions correctly.
This months star recipe is Shepherds Pie.
Ingredients:
- Braised minced lamb
- Small dice carrot and celery
- 3 large potatoes
- 50ml milk
- 25g Butter
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Method:
1. Sweat off the diced vegetables.
2. Add the mince lamb and brown, season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the braising jus, braise in the oven until tender.
4. Correct the consistency and add the diced vegetables, mix together.
5. Place in a serving dish and leave to cool.
6. Once cool top with mash and bake in the oven at 180 degrees until piping hot and the mash is golden brown.
7. Serve with seasonal vegetables.
